Figures from last year show that some 90% of visitors were of Middle East origin, whilst the regional breakdown of exhibitors was far more eclectic, with 47% travelling from Europe and the Americas.

The development of luxury marinas within the area has been extensive and in keeping with the continued growth of the Dubai as a powerful economical state and lucrative tourist destination.

Companies exhibiting at the show cover a vast range of services, from boat storage and transport to marina software and marine finance. With more than 700 exhibitors expected to attend, there will be no shortage of ideas and inspiration to capture the imagination of the thousands of visitors flocking to the event.

The show is held at the Dubai International Marine Club in Mina Seyahi, which offers a 300-berth marina, stunning views and luxurious accommodation only a short distance away. The location is a perfect setting for this high-class gathering of boating enthusiasts, providing an ideal example of the luxury lifestyle which accompanies the investment in such an industry.

Or if you are looking for tips on fishing local waters, we have an abundance of instruction on all different types of fishing. If you are interested in getting your Captain's license, we have instruction on that too. For more information, you can take a look at the Seminar Schedule.

2. What has always been or will be the "most popular exhibit"?

4. What would be your most "frequently asked questions" about this year's show?

One of our most frequently asked questions would be "what impact has the BP oil spill had on boating and fishing in Texas?" Our answer is a resounding "We're still boating and fishing." We really did not see any impact on boating or fishing along the Texas gulf coast.

5. What is "new" at this year's show?

This year we will have a new experience called the Bubble Runners. It's an opportunity for kids of all ages to climb inside a watertight "hamster ball" and skim across the water. Watching the kids roll and fall is a ton of fun for everyone.

Everyone can find a conference that meets his needs at the Boat and Water Sports Show. Though Louis Charbonneau's conference on Heavy Weather Sailing, as well as water skiing and wakeboard Canadian champion Guillaume Paré's one on Boat Driving Tips for Water Sports are definite must-see during this year's event, one must notice the number of great seminars that are not "how-to seminars".

Adventure lovers will enjoy the tale of Justin Bulota and his Kite surfing Expedition Following the St-Lawrence Water Trail or Mylène Paquette's account of Rowing across the Atlantic 2, 700 Nautical Miles solo from Quebec to France. Sailing-maniacs will seek to hear more from well known George Leblanc, while fishermen from all arrays will benefits from celebrity fisherman Patrick Campeau's tips on How to Get the Most Out of Fishing Time.

2. What has always been or will be the "most popular exhibit"?

New trends and products is what catch the attention of visitors. This year we expect the Triumph indestructible boat, which can float on as few as 2 foot of water, to raise a lot of interest. The LTS electric motor should also be a big favorite. With its capacity of reaching up to 50 km an hour, it is an important breakthrough in terms of electrical propulsion. Another good example would be the HRV Liberty pontoon from Southland, which literally consists in a 3-seasons Boat House featuring notably solar panels and a wind turbine.

3. In your opinion the "number 1 attraction" of this year's show.

As mentioned, the force of the Boat and Water Sports Show lies in its great amount of new products on display:

All the new pontoons on the market which are getting more comfortable by the years.

4. Answer to your most "frequently asked question" about this year's show.

Sharp Solar Panels Uk

[simpleaffiliate source="chitika" results="0"][/simpleaffiliate]

Solar Power Saves on Electricity Bills

A typical solar system will reduce the need for conventional water heating by about two-thirds. Often the plumbing from a solar heater connects to a houses existing water heater, which stays inactive as long as the water coming in is hot or hotter than the temperature setting on the indoor water heater. When it falls below this temperature, the homes water heater can kick in to make up the difference. Incorporating passive solar designs can reduce heating bills by as much as 50 percent. High-temperature solar water heaters can provide energy-efficient hot water and hot water heat for large commercial and industrial facilities.

Many large commercial buildings can use solar collectors to provide more than just hot water. Solar process heating systems can be used to heat these buildings. A solar ventilation system can be used in cold climates to preheat air as it enters a building. And the heat from a solar collector can even be used to provide energy for cooling a building. The Co-operative Insurance Building in Manchester has the largest commercial solar system in the UK. I think it looks very futuristic and cool!

You can generate electricity for a single building like the co-op but there is the potential in the future to generate enough power for a power plant. The author of a recent Christian Aid report, John McGhie, said that for $50bn (£26bn) the whole of sub-Saharan Africa could be turned into a solar-generated economy. And $50bn is exactly the same amount as the continent would have to pay on extra fuel bills from oil," he said.

Electrical retailer Currys is about to add a new item to its usual array of washing machines and other white goods - solar panels. Currys is taking a risk as the solar panels will cost far more than anything else the store sells. They say it will cost the average three bedroom household about £9,000 to buy and install solar panels - compared to £16,000 in specialist stores. There are also grants available through the Low Carbon Buildings Programme.

What other solar gadgets can you buy?

Well, Sharp, the world's number one solar cell producer, has just turned its hand to glass studded with LED lights and cells. Instead of generating enough electricity to run a home, it creates a psychedelic light show at night, powered entirely by the day's sun.

You can also buy solar chargers for iPods and phones. Other recent outlandish additions include a solar-powered tent, scooter and LED house numbers, while mundane ones like bike lights, torches and radios have been around for years.

People can also use captured passive solar heat to cook food. A basic cooker consists of an insulated box with a glass top. Heat from concentrated sunlight gets trapped in the box and can be used to heat food enclosed in the box. These have not been very popular to date.
