Asian Green Technology Holdings Sees Promise In Suntech Power

The Fukushima explosions have not only rocked Japan but have caused global concern over the future of nuclear energy. The recent earthquake, tsunami and explosions at a nuclear power plants have only served to prove that, no matter how hard you plan, you cannot cover all eventualities.

Alternative energy is energy that is renewable and naturally occurring. Alternative energy does not produce pollution and is a safer, cleaner and less destructive method of obtaining energy than using fossil fuels.

Alternative energy, by its very nature, is not harmful to the Earths environment. Due to increasingly high gas prices and concerns over damage to the environment many people have begun looking for an alternative energy source to meet their needs.

It can, however, be financially worth it if your state gives economic incentives for installing solar energy panels (NJ is one of them). Manuals and Videos are Top Notch - I feel that the $50 I paid for the guide was a fair price for the amount of instruction they contain. I was very pleased with the manuals, and especially the series of how-to videos that walk you through the entire process. The manuals are well-written, easy for a layman to follow (I myself have no previous experience with solar panel construction, and found them very easy to understand) and contain clear illustrations and photographs of the components and construction processes they are describing.




The videos are my favorite part of Green DIY Energy. They are professionally done, and follow one man, the host, as he goes through the entire solar panel construction process. He introduces you to solar panels, goes over exactly what tools and materials you need, and then constructs his own panel, explaining everything he does.

The Green DIY Energy bonuses are Actually Worthwhile - I haven't gone through every one of the bonuses that come with the purchase (there are 7 ebook bonues), but what I have read through so far is actually very helpful. The ebooks contain details about the wiring process, installation and discuss solar tax credits.




The Green DIY Energy Review Cons:




Where do I get the materials? Although the guide does a nice job of telling and showing me what tools and materials I need, I wish it would tell me exactly where to purchase the materials. I assume that most of them can be found at Home Depot or someplace like that, but it would be nice if they pointed me towards websites where I could compare prices.




No phone support - I would like if they had technical support via phone to talk to when I run into problems, which I'm sure I will (nothing is ever as simple as it seems!), but as of now, they only offer email support.




So there you have it, my initial Green DIY Energy Review. I'll update you later on in the construction process, but as of now, I'm pretty excited about the project. I think I'll be able to actually have my own solar panel system up and running in a few days!

The desire for alternative sources of energy is on the forefront and may it stay there for good - as it should.

Extracting oil from crops is a good idea; the downside is that food supplies could be dramatically reduced. Wind power is another excellent thing except for the many buts that wind power generation have.

If costs is the main objection to solar power generation that should be the least of worries.

The installation of solar panels is until today, considered a specialized job. Like any commodity in the market, when the demand is high but the supply is limited, the cost increase. As more and more homes clamor for alternative sources of energy, better technology and more labor is drawn to the job that market forces could take place and result into much lowered prices. This though is still in the future.

Today the reality is the instability and the unpredictability of pump prices. But even if it does provide stable and predictable price movement, solar energy is free and it is inexhaustible.

While the technology of tapping out this resource is not, homes that are solar powered are getting back dividends in terms of higher appraisal for their homes, confidence in not being surprised by power shortage and outage, not being dependent on the fluctuation in power prices and the definite advantage of having provided a better environment solution.

Today, the typical ways at tapping this resource usually are:

• Through a Heliostat – this are focusing collectors composed of mirrors that are aimed at the sun to collect the energy. The temperature that heliostats could provide reaches more that 4,000 degrees centigrade. This high temperature is sufficient for use even for furnaces.

• Through Flat Plate Collectors – employ a system of pipes. The water inside the pipes becomes heated and is ideal for heating purposes like schools, homes swimming pools, offices etc.

• Through Solar Distillation – instead of heat, this provides water. The mechanics is similar to the processes of plate collectors except that this is generally used to steam salt water. To do this, tanks and ducts are usually installed in surfaces that receive a good sun. Through the heat, the salt water turns into steam and when the steam condenses, the water is collected for regular use.

• Through photovoltaic Cells – These are the most common type of collecting solar energy characterized by solar panels installed in rooftops and other flat surfaces that there is a good sun, converting the power collected into electricity.

Unlike any products, whether refined or manufactured, the processing of solar energy do not need additional costs of energy to power it up. It is energy generating by itself. Except maybe for regular inspection and replacement of parts (when it employs a mechanical device), the tapping of solar energy is virtually maintenance free. Once installed, it could be used for as long as needed for the amount of energy, (depending on the capacity of the unit), which the owner requires.

Can be used in applications such as hot water for use cansnic, heated pool, commercial and domestic uses, solar thermal power plants. Advantages of using solar electricity-termico: • get electricity and hot water at the same time • plants can be tailored to specific applications are used little or no pollution • Centraal building solar thermal is much faster than plants coneventionale solar cells: Photovoltaic cells are used to convert sunlight into electricity. Photovoltaic panels today are increasingly widely used, especially in remote areas, where electricity can not be produced by conventional methods. PV systems are easy to use, maintenance is cheap and of short duration and has no risk of pollution to the environment.

Finding the output of a solar panel?

How could I find out what the amp output of a solar panel? Specifically, I want to know how many milliamps can the solar panel on a Casio fx-260 put out?


You need full sunshine from the sun, or a lamp that will give a light spectrum similar to the sun, a volt meter, Milli-amp meter, and a variable resistor of 0 to 1000 ohms. The voltmeter test leads go across the solar cell leads. The amp meter leads will be in series with the solar cell. Let's say, positive lead of the solar cell to the the positive lead of the amp meter, the negative lead of the amp meter to one terminal of the variable resistor, and the wiper terminal of the variable resistor to the negative lead of the solar cell. Slowly decrease the value of the resistor until the voltage from the solar cell just begins to drop. Take note of the amp meter reading. This is about the high end range of the solar cell. You might want to begin with a micro-amp meter for the current meter.
