Are solar panels worth it?

As of now they are worth it if you want to be "green" and not use electricity generated by burning fossil fuels. It can, however, be financially worth it if your state gives economic incentives for installing solar energy panels (NJ is one of them). Once the price per watt hour drops to compete with the electric companies then you will start seeing more and more homes built with it or converted to it.
