pv panels prices
When will next generation solar PV energy systems hit the markets, highly efficient and cheap?

I see a lot of new solar panel technologies being created and manufactured, some up to 80% ... when will these come onto the general market, cheap??
should I buy an ordinary home solar energy setup now? or will it be superseded by something 5 times cheaper and efficient in 3 years??
Just in two years where i live, a PV solar system has dropped by 40% in price

I see china is cranking up its scienctific research and will lead the world in these technologies in a short time

Solar photovoltaic panels are cheap enough right now to be a good investment with 10-15 years payback. Solar water heating is even better with payback at 5-8 years. Conventional Chinese-made solar electric panels are expected to reach grid parity (straight-up competition with fossil fuel produced electricity, no investment considerations) within 2 years.
