Solar Power Incentives - What Are The Tax Incentives For Solar Power Users

I'm sure there are federal & state incentives for solar power in the US. This should help tackle the twin problems of rising electricity costs and the responsbility of having green home energy systems.

Massachusetts, Arizona, California, Georgia and Illinois are some of the top states with solar power incentives. Federal law gives you a 30% tax incentive (maximum $2000) for solar PV, water heaters and fuel cell installations.

In California solar power incentives include a tax rebate of $3.50 per watt AC for homeowners using grid-tied photovoltaic installations (part grid, part solar). In Texas, the tax incentive is $4.50 per watt AC.
