I had heard of the problem but ready access to information was new to me. Have you heard of it and are you able, in your state or local government, to help resolve these issues?

I'm interested because it typifies Obama's concept of getting involved

I have.
Typically, liberals are all about helping people they will never meet.
They want to help starving people in third-world countries, yet have no problem being hostile with the foreign student behind the counter at 7-11 who is lacking in language skill.
They claim to want to help the poor, but God help the single mother who gets their order wrong at Starbucks because she was up all night with a colicky baby. Their wrath will be strong.
Hence, the hipocrisy of the liberal.
