Why isn't Texas green?
People litter!!!!
No 1 I know recycles. I don't see hardly any recyling bins. No1 seems to care about energy conservation. Why aren't more motor vehicles powered by natural gas?
I mean at least make the buses run on natural gas like in Lake Tahoe. NOT motor vehicles excuse the confusion!!!
I live in Houston . I guess the people here don't care. It's really dirty.
Texas is an extreme case of an environmental dichotomy. On the one hand, you have the big oil interests, which as we all know, are some of the worst environmental offenders. But on the other hand, you have cities like Austin, which is supposedly one of the "greenest" cities in America. This is the home of Whole Foods Market, as well as other "green" companies. Eventually, hopefully, Big Oil will lose, and Texas will become more green, but when?
