How come the Danes are regretting the day they went windmill?

they have had to use 50% more coal-generated energy to cover the power gaps, causing their carbon emissions to go up 36%. They have yet to close a fossil fuel plant and have lost 2.2 jobs for every green one they've gained and they have the highest electricity costs in all of Europe according to The (Canada) National Post.

Anholt is a huge project, both physically and in terms of wind power, capable of producing 400 MW of power under optimum conditions.

This compares to nuclear reactors in France (where 42% of the energy comes from nuclear reactions). These all generally produce between 900 and 1300 MW each. They do it 24/7, and the French have an excellent safety record.

For comparison, Hoover Dam can produce 2,080 MV 24/7.
Three Gorges Dam is about 18,000 MV.

Anholt will be exposed to the elements. Maintenance will be ongoing, expensive, and continuous, so that should create plenty more jobs.
