Solar Panels Price

These days you can purchase solar panels for approx $3.00/watt. You can reduce this cost by buying in high quantities. This is fine if you have plenty of money lying around. (I don't)
Another option to lowering the cost per watt is to build your own solar panels. Now before you click off to some other site, let me tell you it really isn't all that difficult to do. All you need is a good set of instructions and an inexpensive source for solar cells.
There are more materials required to building solar panels, but the rest of the materials can be found quite easily at the local home improvement store or electronics supply house.
The cells are usually the part that provides the biggest challenge in both connecting and in the cost. Connecting (soldering) the cells together can easily be learned and perfected with a little practice. The step by step instructions and videos are a BIG help, but the best and easiest instructions aren't free. (sorry)
Also, the cost of solar cells will be the most expensive item that you will need to acquire. This will make the biggest difference in your total cost of building your own solar panels. Most of the other materials can even be scrounged for free if you use a little ingenuity, your biggest investment will be in the instructions that you buy and the price of solar cells. I can help you with both of these.
