A question on space elevators......?

I've made a model of space elevator under the topic green energy for a science exhibition. I've made it fit into this topic by adding that space elevator saves the fuel needed to run rockets.Do you agree with me? If you do, then plz give a proof too by some numerical or a site for reference maybe. I NEED HELP URGENTLY. I know u'll help me.
