Responder above had it almost perfect. There are some instances though where it should be están instead of está and vice-versa, because the sentences are based on plural or singular instances. Also, note that I have capitalized all the entries, but pay attention to the accents. In fact, if you cut and paste the paragraph into MS word, highlight all the capitalized words, and then click Shift + F3 at the same time, it will make the letters lower-case and will keep the accents the way they should be.

ESTÁ muy cansado (Está instead of están, because it is a paragraph or story and it is basically a continuation of the previous sentence where it is speaking of only (singular) Ruben). ESTÁ triste (again, esta because the word is triste. If it were están, the word would be tristes) y Marisol tiene tos. Su garganta ESTÁ muy roja. La mama de Rubén y Marisol ESTÁ muy nerviosa.
