Is Obama not doing as much as he can to stop the oil because these images help him sell his cap & trade bill?
Honestly....do you think he realized after this happened that this would be a gold mine for getting the public to support this cap and trade / green energy bills this year...so he backed off the first 30 days to allow this to get worse and worse? Do you think he is getting what he wants by the public seeing all the images of the dying birds and closed beaches? Shouldn't this help him sell his cap and trade / green energy bill?
I don't know exactly what you want him to do, and you probably don't either, but he would be a fool not to take advantage of this in order to push for a substantial and focused clean energy program.
In this area however he should make no concessions to the opposition. A good alternative energy program is too important to the nation to tolerate dithering around with the Republican/conservative critics who have never met a good program that they didn't like.
