Will Solar ever become affordable for everybody ?
Everyone's interested but the price is out of reach for most people, I hope to become a solar pv installer within the next 2 years but people I have asked about it are unable to afford it. Hence, continued rent from utilities that use obsolete polluting sources to generate power.
Affordability is relative in that you need to reduce your consumption to bring it within an affordable range. Everyone haveing solar is not an option, to produce enough photovoltaic cells for all is highly unlikely. Working with a combination of wind, solar, hydro, tidal and geothermal is the way to go.
