types of renewable energy sources
Is nuclear power renewable?

Is nuclear power counted as a renewable energy source? Or is it just that a massive amounts of energy can be gained from a small amount?

Also can anyone give me ideas as to types of renewable energy may be utilised by us here is Britain??

Cheers guys

Technically nuclear power is not renewable, as we consume the fuel faster than it is replenished.

However, there is enough uranium known in various deposits around the world to fuel all 440 of the existing nuclear reactors in the world for about 500 years. On top of that, we now have the technology to extract more heat from uranium fuel than ever before, and there is potential to find more new uranium deposits and perhaps even replace uranium with thorium. So there is no shortage of fuel for nuclear power.

Britain can use renewable energy from many sources including solar, wind, geothermal, tidal, biomass, and hydro.
