How does solar power work? Simple answer please.
The waves from the sun excite electrons in a semiconductor making them move. This movement is electricity which is either used right then or stored usually in batteries. See the link below for videos.
Be aware that the solar power received by solar panels as described above is not the only way we utilize solar power. There are also solar collectors which focus the light of the sun to heat water then produce electricity similar to our fossil fuel electric plants.
